This Grade 4 pupil nailed the look of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to the internet’s amusement

Hilarious reactions have flooded social media in response to a character impersonation performed by a student from Balcon Melliza Elementary School in Jordan, Guimaras.

A post by elementary teacher Shara Galfo featuring the creative costume of one of her students for their school activity has the internet rolling.

Galfo’s Grade 4 student, Althea Kate, portrayed President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as part of the program’s role-playing segment.

True enough, she bore an uncanny resemblance to the former president of the Philippines as she made her grand entrance in a wheelchair.

The student referenced Arroyo’s Hello Garci scandal during the 2004 presidential elections when the latter was running for president. A leaked audio recording revealed her alleged conversation with an election official, suggesting potential election fraud. This incident, known as the “Hello Garci Scandal,” centered around her mention of the name “Garci,” implicating him in the cheating.

This activity was part of Galfo’s Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies) class, which aimed to commemorate significant historical events in the country.
