Streaming platform Vivamax warns against fake casting calls for ‘adult’ actors by impostor pages

Yikes — looks like some shady people are using Vivamax, the streaming service owned by Viva known to show risqué themes, to dupe unsuspecting people into joining fake casting calls.

Vivamax issued a warning to the public about fake accounts and websites posing as the highly popular platform, releasing false ads inviting actors and actresses to audition for mature roles.

“We have been made aware of social media pages and individual entities that are impersonating our Facebook page. WE WANT TO REMIND YOU THAT VIVAMAX DOES NOT POST CASTING CALLS ONLINE. Any official announcements or promotions will only come from our official Vivamax Philippines page,” the page wrote.

They reminded people to be cautious in engaging with online pages that claim to be affiliated with the company, adding that they take the issue seriously and are working to identify and take down the fake pages.

“Your safety and privacy are of utmost importance to us, and we thank you for your cooperation in this matter,” it added.

Owned by media conglomerate Viva Communications Inc., Vivamax claims to be the top local streaming platform in the Philippines and is known for its selection of daring titles.
