Old Manila Walks is back with its physical tours — and its popular Big Binondo Food Wok makes for a great weekend spent exploring the culinary gems and food history of the world’s oldest Chinatown. Ivan Man Dy takes guests around Binondo’s most intimate alleys, specialty restaurants, and other haunts that serve decadent Chinese-Filipino treats that capture the neighborhood’s 400-year-old history.

The food tour lasts 2 to 2.5 hours. Book slots on the Old Manila Walks website.

Homie-Made Smashburgers

Treat Dad to some of the most raved-about Smashburgers in the metro at Hungry Homies’ pop-up at The Podium Mall’s Al Fresco area. Three varieties are for the picking: The Purist, an Oklahoma-style fried onion double cheese burger; The Run BMC, a smashed patty with mango wood-smoked bacon and shiitake mushrooms; and The Hypebeef, a Cali-style double cheeseburger with the brand’s secret sauce.

At The Podium’s Al Fresco area until June 19. Check out their Instagram page.

Lively Meditations Exhibit

Soothing and introspective pieces are centerstage at 1335/Mabini’s latest exhibit, Lively Meditations. The gallery features works by artists Ricky Francisco, Denise Heredia, and Helena Alegre. Walk-ins are allowed.

Runs until July 2. Visit 1335/Mabini at Karrivin Plaza, Don Chino Roces Ave. Extension, Makati City. Check out their Instagram page here.
