Filipino student gets accepted into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford with full financial aid
A Filipino student made the rounds on social media after revealing that he got accepted into some of the world’s top universities — and a full ride to each, to boot.
Carl Audric Guia of the University of the Philippines Rural High School shared on Facebook that he received acceptance letters from Ivy League universities Harvard, Yale, and Princeton.
Guia wrote on Facebook: “So today, I got accepted to three of the most selective schools in the world—Harvard, Yale, and Princeton!!! Someone please wake me up right now!!!”
He later updated his post to share that he also got accepted to Stanford University in California.
Guia received full financial aid from all four universities that accepted him for the Class of 2027, which covers tuition, housing, food, travel, and health insurance.
Although Guia did not disclose which programs he was accepted into, he said in an interview with PhilSTAR Life that his ideal school should house a strong astrophysics program and broad research opportunities.
Guia is set to graduate from high school in July this year — but only time will tell whether he’s bound for the East or West Coast.
