This dog goes straight home alone from the groomer and people love it

A post of a dog who goes straight home unaccompanied after coming from the grooming salon has made the rounds on social media and captured people’s hearts.

Fur parent Mitzi Pauline Fabian posted screenshots of her conversation with her pet groomer, where the owner checked in on her dog Fuffy and simply instructed the groomer to open the door and send Fuffy home after he was done getting groomed.

“Hi, how’s Fuffy?” Fabian asked in Filipino.

“He’s almost done,” the groomer answered.

“OK, just please let him out afterwards and I’ll message you once he’s arrived home,” the fur parent replied. Fabian explained that Fuffy, a corgi-aspin mix, knew how to find his way back home alone.

Amused, the groomer sent a photo of Fuffy exiting the door. “That’s so cute,” the groomer said.

True enough, Fabian sent back a photo of the dog safely at home just minutes later.

Fabian said in comments on social media that Fuffy would accompany her to the family’s tailor shop, which was only a few steps away from the grooming salon. Because he’s memorized his way there and back home, they have stopped putting him on a leash.

Fabian also said this was the first time she did not pick him up from the salon.

Netizens were amused by the dog’s independence and were impressed that he knew how to get home safely.

“Did he pay before leaving the salon?” One user joked.

“Next time just send him a grocery list, he can do the shopping now,” another chimed in.
