Dolly de Leon is now a BAFTA nominee for Best Supporting Actress

Triangle of Sadness star Dolly de Leon is officially a nominee for the British Academy Film Awards’ (BAFTA) category for Best Supporting Actress.

This follows a string of historic firsts for de Leon, who was also the first Filipino Golden Globe nominee after she received a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category, which ultimately went to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Angela Bassett. Meanwhile, de Leon took home the Best Supporting Performer trophy from the Los Angeles Film Critics Awards, which she shares with Everything Everywhere All At Once’s Ke Huy Quan.

De Leon once again joins Bassett in the BAFTA category, which includes Hong Chau, Kerry Condon, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Carey Mulligan.

The Filipina was first announced to be in the BAFTA longlist earlier this month, where 260 performances were submitted for consideration in the Best Supporting Actress category. Meanwhile, all eyes are on de Leon as to whether she will snag another nomination, this time for the Oscars, which will be announced on Jan. 24.

The ceremony will take place on Feb. 19.
